#watchvideos As Fresh Allegations Against Hon. Smart Okafor Emerge Over Conduct During NDC Primaries in Nnewi

Controversy surrounding the recent Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) primary election held at Anaedo Hall, Nnewi, has continued to generate debate among party members and political stakeholders, with fresh allegations emerging over events that reportedly occurred during the exercise.

Some party faithful and observers have alleged that the primary election was disrupted by individuals who were allegedly brought into the venue to influence proceedings. Critics have further claimed that those involved acted under the direction of Hon. Smart Okafor, an allegation that has not been independently verified as at the time of filling this report, even though a viral video of him in a heated argument with party faithful suggests same.

According to accounts from concerned stakeholders, the situation reportedly escalated into chaos, leading to disorder within the venue and the alleged destruction of property, including windows at Anaedo Hall. Witnesses have described the incident as unfortunate and inconsistent with the democratic values expected during a party primary election.

The allegations have sparked widespread reactions among members of the constituency, many of whom have called for a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the exercise and possibly give sanctions to deter such attitude in future. They argue that political contests should be conducted in a peaceful, transparent, and orderly manner that reflects respect for both party rules and public institutions.

Observers note that leadership is often judged not only by campaign promises but also by conduct during critical moments. As a result, the events surrounding the NDC primaries have raised questions among constituents regarding accountability, political discipline, and the example expected from individuals seeking public office.

While supporters of the various aspirants continue to defend their respective positions, stakeholders have urged party authorities to establish the facts and ensure that any proven misconduct is addressed in accordance with party regulations.

As discussions continue across Nnewi Federal Constituency, many residents insist that the integrity of the democratic process must remain paramount, regardless of the individuals involved.
