Dignitaries from all walks of life joined the Radio Nigeria Icon, James Uwaleke, Family, Friends and Well Wishers to thank God for sparing his life after a Partial Stroke Attack. The Thanksgiving Mass celebrated at the Radio Nigeria Chapel Ozaraegbelu was used to thank God for making him add another book to his kitty, titled "Strong Woman" In his Sermon at the  Church Service, Rev Fr Justin Obijuru advised Christians to imbibe the habit of Thanksgiving to attract more Blessings from God. Nigeria Second Republic President, Alhaji Shehu Usman Aliyu Shagari, GCFR, is dead. Shagari reportedly died at the National Hospital Abuja on Friday after a brief illness. He died at the age of 93. His demise was announced on twitter by his grandson, Bello Shagari. Bello wrote, ”I regret announcing the death of my grandfather, H.E Alhaji Shehu Shagari, who died right now after brief illness at the National hospital, Abuja.”

The former Governor of Anambra State and the Vice Presidential candidate of the PDP, Mr. Peter Obi has admonished Christians and men of goodwill to use this year's Christmas celebration to extend hands of love and care to the less privileged in our society. Abia indigenes forum Anambra state chapter has called for the unity of Abians in the diaspora. This call was made during the first get together of Abians at holiday resort Onitsha over the weekend. In his keynote address Hon Arunsi Ukah said he is happy to see Abians in diaspora come together for their common good in the society. He stressed he believes  that the call and arrangement is for a formidable union that will carter for affairs of Ndi Abia. Hon. Arunsi opined that their get together was for them to re think, re unite and forge ahead in oneness and love. Ndi Imo presently, have learnt their lessons in a very bitter way occasioned by the misrule and impunity of the present government, in the state which has made governance a caricature of the highest order, and a sore point for students of history and philosophy. Presently, there is hunger in the land, lack of enabling environment for job creation by the private sector, poor infrastructure and lack of sustainable development in Imo, all because of our lack of strong political participation. The crises ravaging the All Progressives Congress, APC, across some states appear to be eating into President Muhammadu Buhari’s 2019 re-election campaign. Party sources told Saturday Vanguard that a cabal has hijacked the campaign and there is an intense plot to relegate National Working Committee, NWC, members in the scheme of things. The plot, piloted by what a senior party official referred to as “presidency hawks” would see the party leadership attending campaigns like guests without strong inputs into the planning and organization. In its usual manner for the past 6 years, Jesus Abandoned Charity Organization, Oraifete, ably led by Rev Fr Anthony  Ananwa yesterday showered the physically challenged in society with gifts, in the spirit of Christmas. It was however a mecca of sort as the charity organization based in Oraifete, Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State, gave out wheel chairs, clutches, walking frames,clothes and food items to physically challenged persons in Anambra. The event,which was held at the Home of the organization which also houses inmates who are physically challenged, was preceded by a Holy Mass presided over by, Rev. Fr.
