Abia Indigenes Forum calls for unity of Abia's in Diaspora

Abia indigenes forum Anambra state chapter has called for the unity of Abians in the diaspora. This call was made during the first get together of Abians at holiday resort Onitsha over the weekend.
In his keynote address Hon Arunsi Ukah said he is happy to see Abians in diaspora come together for their common good in the society. He stressed he believes  that the call and arrangement is for a formidable union that will carter for affairs of Ndi Abia.
Hon. Arunsi opined that their get together was for them to re think, re unite and forge ahead in oneness and love.
He however stated that Abians in the diaspora should come together for their survival, as no man is an island.
"Alot of Abia men and women, especially youths have suffered one thing or another relating to intimidation and denial of their fundamental rights, poverty".
He therefore called on Abians to remember and always utilize the Igbo Adage which says "one hand cannot wrap a parcel"
He maintained that for them in Anambra state to be united they must practice and establish the culture of investing in human beings as it is an eternal legacy.
He used the occasion to inform Abians in Anambra of the plans by His Excellency Okezie Ikpeazu and his deputy Ude Okochukwu to visit them on the 2nd of February in Onitsha in 2019. He said the visit will establish a permanent link between them and the government of Abia state, which will be to empower the youths of Abia.
Hon Arunsi Ukah further intimated them of the plans of the association to build an ultra modern secretariat  in Anambra, asking them to help in providing land and the needed funds to actualize the project.
In the same vein, the chairman of the occasion Nze Moses Agwu thanked Abians in the diaspora for coming to grace their end of year get together. He commended the efforts of Hon Arunsi Ukah for his able leadership and tasked Abians in Anambra to be good followers, which will help bring good tidings and unity for Abians in Anambra state. He thanked the state government of Abia and Anambra for their good works and urged them to do more for the people.

Tension In Uruagu Nnewi As Community Leaders Dare Soludo,Defy Court Order
