Ichie Kenneth Maduakor, the President General of Azia Community in Ihiala L.G.A of Anambra state, and a business mogul par excellence has called on Ndi Anambra to vote for a credible candidate into  position of authority as the Guber election in the state draws near. He asked Anambrians to stop the sale of their votes for a paltry sum of N5,000 or N10,000, as it amounts to the sale of their conscience, as the decision Anambrians take during the election  will determine how the next four years will be.
Ichie Maduakor,  however commended the administration of Chief Willie Obiano, for the giant strides he has taken in seeing to it, that every community in Anambra state, can boast to say, that they benefitted from the state government.
He stressed that the 20 million project per community has gone a long way to show that the administration of Chief Willie Obiano meant well for Ndi Anambra.
He said that his community is at the verge of completing its 20 million Naira project which was basically to construct, culverts and drainage within Azia Community, because of the menace of erosion in the area.
Ichie Maduakor however stressed that so far, over 60% of 50 meters of culverts and 560 meters of drainage  has been completed and has further been extended to 1000 meters of drainage, through community effort.
in another development, while addressing newsmen, Ichie Maduakor commented on other issues bordering the state and nation
------------------------------------------
On the issue of a bill seeking for the removal of fuel stations in residential areas, Ichie Maduakor stated in clear terms that the bill was ill conceived as the reason behind the bill, that fuel stations beckons fire out breaks is a fallacy.
He therefore called on Anambra House of Assembly to rather push for a bill that will ensure that all fuel stations in Anambra state adopt sound safety measures, like mandating the fuel stations to have water bore holes and mini fire fighting systems, that will help check mate the out break before the fire men come to the scene.
He also asked the government to ensure that fire fighting equipments in the state are working, to help stop the fire when it is still manageable.
He also called of FRSC to partner with PTDA to ensure that tanker drivers obeyed traffic rules and regulations to forestall more fire out breaks, which comes with a fine for defaulters.
Ichie Maduakor, on the fight against corruption by the present government stressed that until Nigerians identify who is corrupt and how government is fighting corruption, it is needless to be talking about the fight against corruption in Nigeria, as Nigerians are incredibly corrupt.
He called on the Nigerian government to look into the issues that caused the xenophobic attacks on Nigerians in south Africa and seek ways at finding a lasting solution to the matter.
He however enjoined Nigerians living in other countries to be law abiding and if the people of such country refuse to accommodate them, the best bet was for them to come back home.
