LATE ELIZABETH IKEGWUONU ANSWERS THE HEAVENLY CALL

Late Mrs. Elizabeth Udubeke Ikegwuonu( Nee Offor) Aka Arunne, has answered the heavenly call of glory, as she has joined the saints in heaven at the ripe age of 90 years.
Late Mrs. Elizabeth Ikegwuonu was born in 1926 into the family of Mr. & Mrs Offor of Uru in Umudim Nnewi. While alive, she was a hard working woman, who had absolute faith in God, as she humbled herself and trusted in God in all things, which earned her the nickname ( God E dey) meaning God exisits & is alive in all situations.
At the church service, before her interment at her husband’s country home, the officiating priest called on Christians to look beyond the present life and inculcate the attitude of caring for others spiritual well being instead of thinking about oneself all the time.
He called on Christians to prepare themselves for heaven by following the precepts of our lord and saviour Jesus Christ.
While addressing the congregation at  the church service, the first son of the deceased, Bro Dennis Ikeggwuonu (Onyeisi) thanked God for the life of her mother whom he described as a gift to mankind.
He lamented the fact that he will really miss the mum, as no one will come to ask him of how he fared again, as she used to do always, while alive, but however thanked God that she lived a fulfilled life worthy of emulation. He described her death as a surprise, not because of her age, but rather, the peaceful way she slept in the lord. He thanked the clergy and laity of St Michael De Arch Angel Parisj Umudim Nnewi, his home parish for standing behind him, in his trying period and called on them to continue to join their family  in prayers, for the soul of her mother.
While Speaking with Dr Peter Ikegwuonu, the second son of Late Mrs, Elizabeth Ikegwuonu, he said that God has given and he has also taken. He described the death of the mother as one that showed that she really went to rest in the bosom of the lord, as she did not go sick for one day. He recalled that her mother once told her before her death, that her time to go and rest has come and asked them to get ready, as if she knew she was going to die. He said her death though painful, remains a lesson for Christians all over the world to make peace with God, as death can come knocking on the door, one day.
He thanked friends and well wishers who came to join them in their grief, especially the people of Uru, Umudim Nnewi community. He expressed joy at the way an manner the funeral service was conducted, without any hitches and prayed that God should repay them.  
Speaking with Nigerian Notch, a bosom friend of Bro Dennis Ikegwuonu, Chief Chika Emenike the Chairman of Kotec Group and Tummy Tummy Foods, thanked God for the life of Madam Elizabeth Udubeke Ikegwuonu, who died in the lord at the ripe age of 90. He said that Bro Dennis Ikegwuonu has been his mentor and spiritual director with the catholic charismatic renewal for years, a relationship which has been established for years.
He condoled with Ikegwuonu family for the irreparable loss and prayed that God will give them the fortitude to bear the loss, as God gives and he has taken, and called on them to carry on with the legacies their mother left behind.  Other dignitaries that graced the event are Dr Chika Okafor( Chairman Chicason Group) Chief Innocent Chukwuma( Chairman Innoson Group), Sunday Okoli ( Organizer West Africa) etc

BREAKING: 2Baba Shot Dead In Rivers State

A notorious cult leader and the prime suspect in the brutal murder of the late Divisional Police Officer, SP Bako Angbashim, in the state, Gift Okpara, popularly referred to as 2Baba, has been reportedly killed in a police-led major security raid. The police and other security agencies were said to have conducted land and aerial raids at the identical hideout of the Iceland cult leader and his gang at Idu-Ekpeye in Ahoada East local government area of Rivers on Saturday, February 17. According to  The Nation , the Iceland cult leader was reportedly feared dead after the operation.   Recall that in September 2023, the late DPO was ambushed and captured by the cult group led by 2Baba in the Odiemudie community, Ahoada East LGA.   2Baba and his gang then took the DPO to the forest, where they killed him and dismembered his body. The cultists then filmed him. Another source, Obi, said he saw no less than 15 vehicles and an Armored Personnel Carrier (APC) during the operation.
