Imo Bids Farewell To Odokaraome DSBU,

The burial ceremony of Late Senator Benjamin Uwajumogu today Friday 21 February 2020 was turned to a political carnival as distinguished personalities from all facets of life endeavour  were represented in quantum

Politicians across Nigeria dominated the scene and had all the bigwigs present. The burial which held at Ihitte Uboma,  Imo State paraded a large and unprecedented crowd of sympathizers who thronged to bid Late Senator Benjamin Uwajumogu a final goodbye

Senator Benjamin Chukwuemeka Uwajumogu was born in 1968 (52 years) to the family of a famous and successful business magnet, Chief B.O. Uwajumogu of Uwajumogu and Sons Ltd

He had his early education at Library Avenue Primary School Umuahia, Abia State and his secondary education at Ikerejere Secondary School , Ihitte Uboma and had his Bsc in Economics from University of New Jersey, USA

He later rose to inherit his father's wealth which spans across sole distributorship of Nigerian Flour Mills Ltd, Tate and Tyle Sugar, Filling Stations , Hotels and Road Construction company.

He was an intellectual political giant, a sociopolitical crusader, businessman and  philanthropist.

He became the pioneer Chairman of the defunct Social Democratic Party (SDP) for Ihitte/Uboma LGA in 1990 at a young age of 25 years. In 1998, Chief Ben Uwajumogu ventured to contest as the Executive Chairman of Ihitte/Uboma LGA.

A community leader and chairman of Eastern Comfort Hotels, Umuahia, Chief Benjamin Uwajumogu contested and won the 2011 Ihitte Uboma State Constituency election under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and later emerged the Speaker of Imo State House of Assembly by switching party to then ruling party in the state, the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, under the leadership of His Excellency, Owelle Rochas Okorocha.

Married to Mrs Alleen Uwajumogu, Rt Hon Benjamin Uwajumogu contested for Imo North (Okigwe Zone) Senatorial district election in 2015 under the All Progressive Congress, APC and won.

He recontested in 2019 and was returned elected.

A serving senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and Senate Committee chairman on Labour and employment, Chief Benjamin Chukwuemeka Uwajumogu died on the 18th of December, 2019.

His death came to Imo North  and Nigeria as a rude shock. We really shall miss greatly this good man

As Imo Bids Late  Chief Benjamin Uwajumogu goodbye, we join  his wife, children, brothers, sisters, family, community, Ihitte Uboma LGA , Okigwe Zone, Imo state and Nigeria to mourn a great patriot, Late Senator Benjamin Uwajimogu.

BREAKING: 2Baba Shot Dead In Rivers State

A notorious cult leader and the prime suspect in the brutal murder of the late Divisional Police Officer, SP Bako Angbashim, in the state, Gift Okpara, popularly referred to as 2Baba, has been reportedly killed in a police-led major security raid. The police and other security agencies were said to have conducted land and aerial raids at the identical hideout of the Iceland cult leader and his gang at Idu-Ekpeye in Ahoada East local government area of Rivers on Saturday, February 17. According to  The Nation , the Iceland cult leader was reportedly feared dead after the operation.   Recall that in September 2023, the late DPO was ambushed and captured by the cult group led by 2Baba in the Odiemudie community, Ahoada East LGA.   2Baba and his gang then took the DPO to the forest, where they killed him and dismembered his body. The cultists then filmed him. Another source, Obi, said he saw no less than 15 vehicles and an Armored Personnel Carrier (APC) during the operation.
