Nwajiuba meets Nigerian Student Community in Morroco

~ Promise to look into their demands for welfare

The minister of state for Education, Hon Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba has meet with the Nigerian student community in Rabat, Morocco. The Honorable Minister of state who paid a working visit to the Nigeria Embassy in Morocco, used the opportunity to meet with the students and interact with them on the prospects and challenges facing them in Morroco.

The Honorable Minister was in Rabat to meet with the Nigerian Student community in Morocco who were on full Federal Government Scholarship under the Bilateral Education Agreement scholarship. Hosted by the Nigerian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Morocco, Ambassador Al-Bashir Ibrahim Saleh Al-Hussaini, the Honorable Minister interacted with representatives of the student community on various issues ranging from student welfare to the call for the review of the bilateral Agreement to reflect today's reality.

Speaking on behalf of the Student community, , Mr. Dalhatu Tijjani Yusha'u, the President of the students, thanked the Minister and officials of both the Federal Ministry of Education and the Nigerian Embassy for their efforts so far, while stating that alot still needs to be done as regards the topics discussed especially that of the students welfare.

The Honorable Minister, Hon Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba promised to look into the demands of the students within the parameter of the agreement between both countries, and to have the agreement reviewed to reflect present day realities. He also asked the students to be good ambassadors of the country.

Tension In Uruagu Nnewi As Community Leaders Dare Soludo,Defy Court Order

The President of Uruagu-Nnewi Development Union, Chief Sunday Okoli aka Organizer, and the Obi of Uruagu-Nnewi community in Nnewi North local government area of Anambra State, His Majesty Afamefuna Charles Obi, have swept Soludo's directive to the gutters, by reason of their suspension and subsequent dessolution of the leadership of the community's youth forum, led by Ejike Ifejiofor, and subsequent appointment of caretaker executive to pilot the affairs of youths in the community.
