UZODIMMA COMMITTED TO DEVELOPMENT OF ISOPADEC COMMUNITIES

It is a truism that ISOPADEC before now is synonymous to corruption and in fact one can posit that this commission is not just a cash cow of the government but a beehive of unscrupulous activities. These unchecked attitudes and sense of work has further endangered the lives and socio-economic development of the rich oil regions and constantly defeats the purposes for which the commission was created for. The overriding idiosyncrasy is that so far it is government work then anything and everything is free to happen. What a bizarre mindset!.

The shared prosperity government of Gov. Hope Uzodimma met an ISOPADEC without a leadership yet he wasn’t in a hurry to name one not because there are no competent men and women for the job but he needed one that shares in his dreams for the oil region, someone who doesn’t see things from the perspective of business as usual and a leader who can be able to say NO to corruption and stand by it despite the threats.

Within one year of the shared prosperity government, ISOPADEC has been given a facelift through its pragmatic and result oriented leadership which enjoys the support of the government in her activities. ISOPADEC under this administration have began to match words with action especially in coming to the rescue of the people with foods, beddings, cash aid, etc as witnessed during the last flood that submerged communities from the oil regions amongst many other things.

The sincerity of Gov. Hope Uzodimma in making sure that resources for the development of the oil regions are used for their development is becoming conspicuous day by day and the regions are not left out in attesting to the truth of this manifold manifestation.

The 2021 Democracy Day speech of Gov. Hope Uzodimma again, reinstated his commitment towards ISOPADEC and the communities therein by revealing as quoted, “We paid 16million outstanding electricity bills in ISOPADEC communities, currently we are constructing Oguta-Mgbidi road and soon we will move in to improve hospital and schools in the area.”

There is no gainsaying the fact, that Gov. Hope Uzodimma is in a hurry to restore back all the years of good governance and people oriented projects that ISOPADEC communities have been denied and no doubt the myriad of problems facing the oil regions will be a thing of the past.

It is therefore noteworthy to posit that the shared prosperity government of Gov. Hope Uzodimma is still on course in making impacts over accolades not just in the ISOPADEC and her communities but in the state at large.
