SENATOR IFEANYI UBAH SYMPATHIZES WITH NKWO OGBE, IHIALA MARKET FIRE VICTIMS.

 


…..URGES ANAMBRA STATE GOVERNMENT TO PRIORITIZE IMPLEMENTATION OF EFFECTIVE FIRE OUTBREAK PREVENTIVE POLICIES AND MEASURES.



Senator Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah has sympathized with victims of the Sunday inferno that destroyed goods worth millions of Naira. The Senator made the statement through his official Facebook handle some minutes ago, while asking the state government to ensure that preventive policies are in place to forestall or curtail the damage such further disaster portends.

He his words he said

"I am deeply saddened by the news of the fire outbreak that engulfed Nkwo Ogbe, Ihiala yesterday being Sunday, October 17, 2021, resulting in the loss of many investments and properties."


"This is a very unfortunate and regrettable incident that has left numerous businesses in unquantifiable ruins, coming especially at a time Anambra is still struggling to recover from recent security challenges beclouding the State."


"As I commiserate with victims of this fire incident, this tragic development brings to cognizance, the need to prioritize the implementation of effective and practical fire outbreak preventive policies and measures in Anambra State."


Senator Ubah thanked Almighty God that no lives were lost in this incident, as he restated his commitment towards ensuring that whatever circumstances that might have led to this unfortunate outbreak must be thoroughly addressed to ensure that such a disastrous outbreak does not occur again. 


He conclusively, maintained that its his expectation that the State Government and all relevant agencies concerned will work together to take stock of damages caused by the inferno and provide the victims with all necessary support.


There therefore prayed that everyone affected by this tragedy, take solace as it's his sincere hope that this tragic incident will be the last of its kind.
