The PDP’s mother of all rallies was put together to drum support for the party’s candidate in the November 6 governorship election, Mr. Valentine Ozigbo.

During the rally Ozigbo pointed out that anyone should be scared running to be governor of Anambra state to take over from APGA’s Chief Willie Obiano because of the mess he has made of governance in the state, with a huge debt of over N65billion local debt and, about $130million external debt.

"All the infrastructural facilities in the state according to the PDP candidate has collapsed under the watch of APGA controlled government."

He noted that he cannot shy away from the responsibility of taking over from the incumbent as the r-ebuilding process of Anambra State must commence immediately.

Ozigbo made it clear that former state governor, and, Vice-presidential candidate of the PDP in 2019, Mr. Peter Obi is not his god-father, but, someone he respects his leadership qualities and ideals that also stands out as his role model.

He promised the good people of Anambra State, that if elected he would perform better than past governors in the state, because he came prepared for the work ahead.

“Two days ago, I undertook a campaign tour of the markets in Onitsha in company of Mr. Peter Obi, and, Senator Enyinnia Abaribe, and, I found out that these two people command greatest respect from Ndigbo, even from members of the IPOB.” He said.

Ozigbo who noted that he stands out among his opponents interms of character content and youthful energy expressed optimism that he would come out victorious in the guber polls.

“The facts are there, it is only the Peoples Democratic Party that conducted a credible party primary, other political parties like APC and APGA cannot lay claim to that. The process through which a candidate emerge will impact on his ability to perform in office, I am the only candidate without any baggage going into this election.

“To be honest, the feedback we are getting is that if this election is free, and, fair we shall win.” Ozigbo declared.

He also noted that PDP is the only political party through which Igbo presidency can easily be actualized and that the outcome of the November 6 governorship election will have effect on the 2023 general elections.

“As things are today, can Igbo presidency be actualized through APGA or APC, the obvious answer is no. That is why we must all endeavor to get it right on Saturday.”

The PDP delegation led by Atiku Abubakar and others asked Ndi Anambra to vote for the PDP, as the party remains the only Political Party that can salvage the people from the many problems the state is currently enmeshed in.
