A sinister plot has been uncovered where aggrieved and opposing Imo-born politicians have perfected plans to submerge the State into another stream of security crises. These unpatriotic elements who are fraudulently placed Imolites, raised a whopping sum of N5b, lobbied some members of the National Assembly for a petition to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) in order to have the present Government out of office. Their plans also involve a propaganda that would also declare Imo State as being in a State of Emergency.
Recall that upon the declaration of Governor Hope Uzodimma as the Executive Governor of Imo State, the opposition party vowed to make the State ungovernable and, truth be told, they are living up to their plans. In partnership, the Internally Displaced Politicians (IDPs), indicted by white paper on land matters, have continued to collaborate with the opposition in crisis brewing.
It is becoming clearer to those in doubt, the sponsors and perpetrators, that the insecurity witnessed in the past in Imo State has been antics of these groups of people. The people of Imo should remain vigilant as these hawks are after their personal enrichment and do not mean well for our dear State. The Government would legally continue to ensure fortified security on the lives and properties across the State.
