Hon. Obinna Okechukwu, the Chairman of New Motorcycle Spare Parts Nnewi ( NASPA ) has reterirated the move by leaders of markets in Anambra to ensure that revenue drive is intensified. This is coming at the heels of market leaders expressed support and solidarity for the new administration in the state under Governor Charles Soludo; especially on the governor’s efforts to beef-up the state’s internally generated revenue through the markets.
Speaking to newsmen after the meeting, the chairman of New Motorcycle Spare Parts Dealers Association, Mr. Obinna Okechukwu, reiterated the unalloyed support of his market, and other markets in Nnewi to the state government, as well as the state Ministry of Trade, Commerce and Wealth Creation, under Dr. Obinna Ngonadi as commissioner.
The market leader, who is also the vice president of ASMATA, said: “Nnewi has been supporting the state government, and will continue to do so under the new government of Pro. Charles Soludo.
“Nnewi traders are particularly happy that new commissioner for trade, Hon. Obinna Ngonadi, comes from the industrial city. Governor Soludo and the new Commissioner for Trade and Commerce, Obinna Ngonadi, have distinguished themselves in their respective fields of endevour. So, as traders in Nnewi, we’ll give them every support, so that we can succeed together."
“Appointment of Obinna Ngonadi as Commissioner for Trade, Commerce and Wealth Creation is like putting a round peg in a round hole; because, he has vase experience in the field.”
He further promised that traders under this administration will ensure that they complie with Government directives towards the upliftment of markets in the state. He however commended the duo of Chief Dr Cletus Ibeto and Chief Innocent Chukwuma( Innoson) for the role they played during the last election in the state, and promised them that they will support the drive of the new Goverment to bring the needed development on the state.
