TC Chairperson applauds Soludo, insists that Solution is here

The Transaction Committee Chairman of Idemili South LGA, Hon Iyom Amaka Obi has applauded the governor of Anambra state Prof Charles Soludo for his giant strides in the state, especially in the areas of human capacity development, and rebuilding of road infrastructure in the state.  She said this recently in an interactive chat with journalists in her office at Ojoto, the headquarters of the LGA.  


She stressed that going by the recent developments in the state, especially in the areas of road construction, youth empowerment and employment that the governor has done well, and solicited for the support of Ndi Anambra , as Anambra is about to turn into a construction site once the rains subside.  


She said that since her assumption of duty as the Transition Committee chairman of Idemili South, that she has ensured that the environment is kept clean in line with the vision of the state governor. This she said has led to the employment of road sweepers who in turn has helped in keeping the environment clean. She said her administration has set up monitoring teams in different wards if the LGA, because they want to give prizes  for the best town in cleanliness. She went to schools for healthcare sensitisation where young girls are taught on the need for cleanliness and shared execrise books to encourage them. At the end of the program the young girls were given sanitary pads.  


Hon Iyom Amaka said that they set up a skill acquisition scheme in the area of baking, nlyon making, hat, beads, etx and promised to empower them with equipments, when they are through with the one month program. 


She called on the people of Anambra to remember that as election draws near that they should support and vote for all APGA candidates from top to bottom, because the governor has done well for the party and the state.  She however gave  assurance that Anambra will be the Dubai Taiwan if the citizens will pay their taxes as at when due. She however called on Ndi Idemili to vote for Ike Cubana to represent them at the national assembly stressing that he will do well because he has a good heart for the people. She said that this is the time for the youths, so that all this insecurity in Anambra will be reduced if not eradicated.

BREAKING: 2Baba Shot Dead In Rivers State

A notorious cult leader and the prime suspect in the brutal murder of the late Divisional Police Officer, SP Bako Angbashim, in the state, Gift Okpara, popularly referred to as 2Baba, has been reportedly killed in a police-led major security raid. The police and other security agencies were said to have conducted land and aerial raids at the identical hideout of the Iceland cult leader and his gang at Idu-Ekpeye in Ahoada East local government area of Rivers on Saturday, February 17. According to  The Nation , the Iceland cult leader was reportedly feared dead after the operation.   Recall that in September 2023, the late DPO was ambushed and captured by the cult group led by 2Baba in the Odiemudie community, Ahoada East LGA.   2Baba and his gang then took the DPO to the forest, where they killed him and dismembered his body.
