Will Tinubu Behave Differently and Earn the Respect and Trust of the Igbos?

The South East has Sen. Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah to thank for the passage of the South East Development Commission Bill.

The import of the passage of the South East Development Commission Bill sponsored by Sen. Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, remains gratifying.

The South East Development Commission Bill sponsored by Sen. Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, to my mind is more than additional state for the South East.

What "No Victor No Vanquished" could not do, will be attempted by the South East Development Commission Bill sponsored by Sen. Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah.

What the 3Rs: Reconstruction, Rehabilitation and Reconciliation could not do, will be attempted by the South East Development Commission Bill sponsored by Sen. Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah.

Recall that the civil war was fought here, right here in the South East (old Eastern region), but they started building bridges in Lagos, amazing! Construction wasn't happening here but in places not physically affected by the war.

Roads, houses, bridges, schools, hospitals, markets, churches, farmlands, rail lines, jetties, among others, that were obliterated couldn't see reconstruction till date, but elsewhere that saw no war saw construction and reconstruction.

When people talk about injustice, because it hasn't affected you, you don't feel the pulse of the victims of injustice. There is a huge debt of social injustice owed the former Eastern region by the rest of the Nigerian state; Sen. Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah's sponsored South East Development Commission Bill, will eventually come to be the Game-changer.

A government that will embrace justice, equity and fairness; charity for all and malice towards none dalliances the Igbos inadvertently. The Ahmed Bola Tinubu's government appears tilting towards that direction with the passage and expected assent to the Sen. Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah's sponsored South East Development Commission Bill.

I recall that in 1991, prominent Igbo traditional rulers feted Gen. Ibrahim Gbadamosi Babangida with the revered title of _Ogugua Ndigbo,_ for his administration's show of little mercy and consideration to Ndigbo different from the previous administrations before it that showed no mercy in the execution of the obnoxious, reprehensible and punitive unwritten post civil war policy against the Igboman.

Perhaps, Ashiwaju's administration with the passage and subsequent signing into law of the Sen. Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah's sponsored South East Development Commission Bill, will begin to edge closer to healing the fested wounds of the fratricidal civil war and the deliberate policy of marginalisation, deprivation, ostracization and criminal neglect of the Igbo population.

Certainly, President Ahmed Bola Tinubu stands the chance of giving the Igbos reason to be hopeful and to feel belonged again in a federation where the Igbos have become the only true federating people of the Nigerian federation.

_All thanks to Sen. Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah._

#Watchvideo : SECURITY FORCES BURST THE CAMP OF UNKNOWN GUNMEN IN AKOKWA

Security Forces in the state through a coordinated intelligence report has bursted the camp of the unknown gunmen at Akokwa, Arondizuogu after a long gun duel which resulted to the death of some of the criminals and others arrested. These criminal elements have been known to be behind several attacks in the state such as the killing of police men in Mbaise, Aba Branch in Ehime Mbano, burning down of police stations, attack and attempted kidnapping of former Governor Ikedi Ohakim, abduction of Miss. P.P. Johnson, a female soldier in Okigwe and recently the attack in Akokwa that left many dead. It is obvious that these daredevil gunmen have been perpetuating their evil plans unabated until yesterday when their camp was bursted by security agencies. This is another assurance that our security operatives are leaving no stone unturned in the fight against banditry and other related activities. While it has become obvious that the activities of these non state actors are politically motivate...

The President of Uruagu-Nnewi Development Union, Chief Sunday Okoli aka Organizer, and the Obi of Uruagu-Nnewi community in Nnewi North local government area of Anambra State, His Majesty Afamefuna Charles Obi, have swept Soludo's directive to the gutters, by reason of their suspension and subsequent dessolution of the leadership of the community's youth forum, led by Ejike Ifejiofor, and subsequent appointment of caretaker executive to pilot the affairs of youths in the community.
