Evangelist Nicolas Ukachukwu (Ikukuoma), the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for Anambra State, has received a significant boost in his campaign with the endorsement of the Cityboy Movement.
Prince Chijoke Mbanefo, the state leader of the Cityboy Movement in Anambra, hosted Ukachukwu at his Atani country home in Ogbaru, where he pledged to deliver the APC candidate through the movement's network across the state ahead of the November 8th governorship election. Comrade Echezona Okafor, the state coordinator of the group, was also present at the meeting.
The endorsement was announced during Ukachukwu's thank-you tour across the state, where he expressed gratitude to APC members for their support during the party's primaries. The APC governorship candidate was accompanied on the tour by the state Chairman of APC, his running mate, Senator Uche Ekwunife, Hon. Awogu Arinze, and the campaign director of Ikemba Front among others.
Addressing the gathering, Princess Ifeoma Bassy, the South East woman leader, noted that the Cityboy Group's decision to support Ukachukwu's candidacy stemmed from their recognition of the need for Anambra to have stronger connection to the center. This development could significantly impact the outcome of the governorship election.
Adding his voice, the state coordinator of the cityboy group in Anambra, Comrade Echezona Okafor said the cityboy movement was geared to ensuring that the APC candidate wins the Nov 8th election in Anambra. He said, " our leader, Bar Seyi Tinubu is so passionate about delivering Anambra and having Evangelist Nicholas Ukachukwu as the Governor of the state come November, 2025, as Anambra is strategic and needs to align with the center. He called on all the Local Government Coordinators of the cityboy movement to brace up to the challenges ahead, as victory is assured in the long run.
With this endorsement, Ukachukwu's campaign gains momentum as he seeks to win the hearts of Anambra voters.
