NFF Hails Nnadozie, Madugu Over Ballon d’Or Recognition

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has applauded Super Falcons goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie, following her impressive fourth-place finish at the 2025 Ballon d’Or awards held in Paris on Monday night.

In a statement issued in Abuja on Tuesday by its Head of Media and Communications, Ademola Olajire, the federation described Nnadozie’s achievement as a proud moment for Nigerian and African football.

Nnadozie, who has twice been voted Africa’s Best Goalkeeper, also shone at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco, where she was named Goalkeeper of the Tournament and played a decisive role in Nigeria clinching a record-extending 10th continental title.

“We heartily congratulate Nnadozie on her fourth-place finish in the race. It is a commendable feat given the calibre of goalkeepers she was up against,” NFF General Secretary, Mohammed Sanusi, said. “Finishing fourth is a big achievement, and we believe in her capacity to win this trophy very soon.”

The federation also commended Super Falcons Head Coach, Justine Madugu, who equally secured a fourth-place finish in the Women’s Coach of the Year category, describing both recognitions as a testament to Nigeria’s rising profile in women’s football.

Tension In Uruagu Nnewi As Community Leaders Dare Soludo,Defy Court Order
