Soludo Has Taken Anambra, Others Should Go To Kaduna And Contest -- Metchie

RAYMOND OZOJI

The President-General of Umueri General Assembly in Anambra-East Local Government Area of Anambra State, Chief Amb. Dr. John Metchie, a United Nations Peace Ambassador and an international business mogul, has admonished other contestants in the November 8th governorship election to go to Kaduna State and contest for the governorship seat because Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo has taken Anambra State.

Metchie who is currently mobilising the grassroots for Governor Soludo and his Deputy Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, stated without equivocation that there is no vacancy in the Government House because the entire state has agreed that the governor and his Deputy are returning again on November 8th this year to continue as well as consolidate on their developmental strides in the state.

Metchie who spoke to journalists at the 2025 Umueri New Yam Festival over the weekend, restated his position that no one is contesting the governorship election with Soludo because the evidence on ground shows that the governor has surpassed expectations of the people in just three years in office.

He said that the entire Omambala region will vote for Soludo and that he is solidly behind the governor, stressing that he would work assiduously in the grassroots to ensure that Soludo wins landslide in the area.

He also added that all the youths, women and stakeholders of the Omambala region are 100% behind Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo for his second term reelection and it is non-negotiable.

The most distinguished President-General of Umueri community, who also functions as the Deputy Commander-General (Intelligence) of the Nigerian Forest Security Service (NFSS) therefore advised other candidates in the November 8th governorship election to jettison the idea of contesting against Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo because he believes that there is no vacancy yet in the Government House.
