Amb. Ikebunwa Lotanna Set to Unveil ADC’s Biggest Grassroots Movement in Nnewi North, Nnewi South and Ekwusigo

In what many are already calling a major political turning point, frontline House of Representatives aspirant, Amb. Ikebunwa Lotanna, has announced the official inauguration of the Good Governance Initiative (GGI) structure across Nnewi North, Nnewi South and Ekwusigo Federal Constituency.

The event, scheduled for April 11 at Anaedo Hall, Nnewi, will see the full unveiling of the Local Government and Ward Executives of GGI, now widely recognized as the biggest and most popular support group of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Anambra State.

For many constituents, this is not just another political gathering. It is a strong signal that a new movement has taken over the political space, one that is driven by the people, not monetary inducements.

Across the three local governments, hundreds of people have continued to join the Good Governance Initiative willingly. No inducement of any kind, no payments, just pure belief in a leader they trust.

Speaking ahead of the inauguration, the Convener, Amb. Ikebunwa Lotanna, described GGI as a movement born out of the people’s desire for real leadership change and better representation.

“For the first time, people are coming out on their own to support a cause they believe in. This shows that our people are ready for change and ready to take their future seriously,” he said.

He called on all well-meaning people of the constituency who have not joined yet to key into this movement and support the mission to bring true good governance and effective representation to Nnewi North, Nnewi South and Ekwusigo.

According to him, the massive support GGI is receiving is a clear sign that the people have decided to take their destiny into their own hands.

Political watchers say the rise of GGI in Anambra is no surprise. They point to the strong popularity and wide acceptance of Amb. Ikebunwa Lotanna across the constituency. Many observers describe him as the most popular, most trusted, most visible, and most connected aspirant in the race.

His strength comes from years of direct impact on the lives of the people.

From supporting students and young entrepreneurs to empowering women and community groups, Ikebunwa has built a name based on action, not mere promises.

Just a few days ago, he gave ₦1 million to beneficiaries of the 1 Girl 2 Skills Empowership Programme to help them start their own businesses. This is only one of many ways he has continued to support the people.

Beyond his humanitarian efforts, Amb. Ikebunwa Lotanna also has strong political experience. As former Special Assistant on Grassroots Mobilization to the late Senator Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, he played a major role in building one of the most effective grassroots political networks in the region.

That experience has earned him the name “Grassroots General,” a title that reflects his deep connection with the people and his ability to mobilize real support.

Today, that same strength is driving the Good Governance Initiative, which has now become the fastest-growing political movement in Nnewi North, Nnewi South and Ekwusigo, and Anambra State as a whole.

With the level of support on the ground, many believe that Amb. Ikebunwa Lotanna is not just an aspirant, but the clear choice of the people.

As 2027 approaches, one thing has become obvious, the people of Nnewi North, Nnewi South and Ekwusigo have made up their minds, and they are standing firmly behind Amb. Ikebunwa Lotanna come 2027.
