Anambra Guber: PDP victory is assured, despite minor set backs – Ndubisi Nwobu

The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Anambra State, Chief Ndubisi Nwobu has said that the chances of PDP emerging victorious in the upcoming gubernatorial election in the state is bright despite the minor set backs encountered by the past in the recent past. He said this while interacting with our reporter over the weekend in Awka.

He stressed that those distracting the party with court cases and defections cannot stop the PDP from having a victorious outing come November 6, as the party in recent times is more than ever positioned to take the mantle of leadership in the state.

Nwobu commended the courts for reinstating his position as the chairman of the PDP in Anambra and described it as a step in the right direction. He lampooned those jumping from one court to the other, and those jumping ship to other parties, as Political distrators.

“Notwithstanding myriads of sponsored court cases and defections rocking the Anambra chapter of the PDP, the party is determined, more than ever before, to take over Anambra State. Having stayed out of power for 16 years, the governorship election coming up in November is a veritable opportunity for the party to return to the Anambra Government House.

“Of course, our dear party takes note of distractions sponsored by others, who are visibly afraid of the preparedness of PDP for the coming election. We are not deterred. PDP faithful in Anambra, as well as the state and national leadership of the party are determined that the party will put its flag at the Anambra Government House, come March 17, 2022. Nothing will stop us,” he said

He however stressed that the PDP is making frantic efforts to ensure that the name of their candidate Mr Valentine Chineto Ozigbo is published by INEC which will eventually laid to rest the issue of who bears the PDP flag in the November 6th Gubernatorial election in the state.

On how prepared the PDP is in the state for the up coming election, he said that the membership drive of the party has been done and the machinery for Election has been put in place despite the minor distractions in the recent past.

He however noted that recent appointment of Senator Uche Ekwunife as the chairperson of the Valentine Ozigbo Governorship Campaign Council would be a huge advantage to the party’s drive towards reclaiming Anambra from the ruling All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) he comculded.
