Anambra Guber: LP candidate, Moghalu, celebrates primary election victory in the church

The Spiritual Director of the Holy Ghost Adoration Ministry, Uke, and Parish Priest of Blessed Iwene Tansi Pilgrimage Center, Umudioka, both in Anambra State, Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Obimma, has described the governorship candidate of the Labour Party (LP), for the November 8 election in Anambra State, Chief Dr George Moghalu, as a man of simplicity of heart, who places God above every other consideration in his undertakings.

Fr. Obimma, popular called Fr. Ebube Muonso, made the assertion on Sunday, April 27, when the Labour Party candidate came to the Blessed Iwene Tansi Parish, Umudioka, for a thanksgiving to God for his emergence as candidate after the party's primary election held on April 5 this year.

He said, "The Labour Party candidate for the November 8 Anambra election, our dear friend and brother, Dr. George Moghalu, is here in our midst. I love this man so much because of his simplicity of heart."

Fr. Ebube Muonso compared Muoghalu to President Donald Trump of the United States of America, who the priest said, places God first all through his political endeavours.

According to the cleric, Donald Trump had been vocal in his dependence on God.

"During his election campaigns, Trump depended on God. When he won the presidential election, he told his people, 'I'm not gonna do food; I'm not gonna do drinks - but thanksgiving to God, who gives victory."

The priest, known for being very vocal in speaking the truth, praised the LP candidate for placing God first, and for coming in the presence of God to give thanks for His favour, and prayed for much more favour of God upon him.

"Politicians get their powers from different sources: some consult witches and wizards; some consult the secret cults; some consult agents of the Satan; but here is Dr. George Moghalu in the presence of God," Fr. Obimma hinted.

Speaking, Moghalu, the immediate past Managing Director, Chief Executive Officer of the National Inland of Authority (NIWA), and a veteran politician, said that he was in the church with his entourage to express his gratitude to God for His bounties in his life, especially for granting him victory in the just concluded primary election of the Labour Party held on April 5, 2025.

"I cannot stop thanking God for His unending love upon my life and my family, especially for His grace upon me on my political career," he said, while recalling that even before he declared to contest the governorship election, he went to St. Louis Catholic Church, Uruagu-Nnewi, where he sought the face of God, and prayed for His Divine direction and guidance.

Ohamadike, as he is fondly called, said that he was at Fr. Ebube Muonso's parish, apart from thanking God for giving him victory, to also seek His face for the journey ahead. He also said that he needed much more prayers and spiritual guidance to be able to approach the November 8 governorship election with boldness, and divine direction.

He finally praised Fr. Ebube Muonso for the spiritual guidance he provides for millions of people all over the world, and asked him not to relent.

Highpoint of the event was when the LP candidate and his entourage went to the altar with items of thanksgiving for Gods favours upon him.
