COURT SACKS PRINCESS NKECHI MBACHU-ANYANWU, ORDERS INEC TO REPLACE HER WITH HON. EMMANUEL AGOHA

AS ARARUME JR. CONGRATULATES AGOHA.

A federal high court sitting in owerri has ordered the sack of  Princess Nkechi Mbachu-Anyanwu who has since been campaigning in Obowo as the standard bearer of Labour Party for Obowo State Constituency Assembly elections.

The Court in it's judgment delivered this morning, 17th March 2023 frowned at the gross and flagrant violation of constitutional provisions and the extant provisions of the Electoral Act, 2023.

The court ruled that it is an afront to the provisions of the electoral Act, to contest in the primaries of a political party and run to another political party for same election to contest for its primaries, having failed in the former. According to the Judge, this step is necessary for the restoration of Nigeria's democratic norms and political integrity within the political sphere.

Recall that Hon. Agoha Emmanuel had since instituted this pre-election matter before the Federal High Court which was delayed technically to enable the elapse of time for the previously scheduled election that would have held on the 11th of march, 2023.

Luck seems to have run out of the Obowo born lady married to an Anambra man as the  weight thrown around the suit and all legal technicalities have expired.

Consequently, Emma Agoha has been congratulated by the Party faithful in Obowo and beyond, as it is reliably gathered that Emma Agoha has been around and fanning the growth of the Party before it was hijacked from him.

According to the Lawyer for Emma Agoha, he commended the judge for the judgement and described same as a true reflection of justice, remarking that the judiciary has in recent times arisen to the occasion of protecting its integrity.

The consequnetial order of court directing INEC to substitute Princess Nkechi Mbachu-Anyanwu's name has been served on INEC and same carried out immediately for want of time.

Unfortunately, this judgement has come just a day to the election where Princess NkechiMbachu-Anyanwu cannot approach the Court of Appeal for a stay in the judgment against her.
