Police Urge Residents to Stay Vigilant Against Crime in Anambra

The Anambra State Police Command has called on residents to remain vigilant and cooperative in the fight against crime, despite recent security challenges. In a statement on June 23, 2025, by the command's PPRO SP Tochukwu Ikenga emphasized the importance of community participation in maintaining security and preventing crimes.

The police urged residents not to be discouraged from exposing unrepentant criminals, stressing that public cooperation is crucial in helping law enforcement agencies maintain law and order. The Joint Security Team has increased surveillance and patrols to deter crime and ensure public safety.
Residents are encouraged to report security concerns or request assistance by contacting the Command Control Room at 07039194332 or the Police Public Relations Officer at 08039334002. Additionally, the "NPF Rescue Me" app is available for download on Android and iOS devices.

The Anambra State Police Command reiterates its commitment to ensuring public safety and welcomes residents' cooperation in achieving this goal.

Tension In Uruagu Nnewi As Community Leaders Dare Soludo,Defy Court Order

The President of Uruagu-Nnewi Development Union, Chief Sunday Okoli aka Organizer, and the Obi of Uruagu-Nnewi community in Nnewi North local government area of Anambra State, His Majesty Afamefuna Charles Obi, have swept Soludo's directive to the gutters, by reason of their suspension and subsequent dessolution of the leadership of the community's youth forum, led by Ejike Ifejiofor, and subsequent appointment of caretaker executive to pilot the affairs of youths in the community.
