RIVERS STATE CRISIS ENDS: Wike, Fubara, Amaewhule Reach Truce After Tinubu's Intervention

A significant breakthrough was achieved in the protracted political crisis rocking Rivers State, as FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara, and Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly Martins Amaewhule reached a truce following a closed-door meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

The meeting, which was held on Thursday, June 26, 2025, marked a turning point in the bitter power struggle between Governor Fubara and his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, which had created sharp divisions in the state's leadership and raised public concern over stability.

According to sources, the three key political figures agreed to put aside their differences and work together in the interest of peace, governance, and the people of Rivers State. President Tinubu, who presided over the meeting, emphasized the need for unity and urged all parties to prioritize development over personal or political disputes.

Tension In Uruagu Nnewi As Community Leaders Dare Soludo,Defy Court Order
