CP John Abang intervenes in Anambra Community Clash.

The CP of Anambra Police Command has called to order warring parties in a land tussle in Umuali Akanator Omor and Ereator Igbakwu communities.

It will be recalled that on the 13/7/2019 at about 7:am,there was a communal clash between Umuali Akanator Omor and Ereator Igbakwu communities occassioned by perennial Land dispute between the two neighbouring communities all in Anyamelum LGA of Anambra State.

It was gathered that four persons sustained injuries, one house was set ablaze and three motorcycles burnt, in a release made available the PPRO SP Haruna Mohammed.

 The Commissioner of Police Anambra State Command CP John B. Abang fdc based on information made available to the command immediately ordered for the deployment of PMF /SARS/ANTICULT personnels and other conventional police to augment the Anaku Division who brought the situation under control and normalcy restored in the Area.

Consequently, in order to find lasting solutions to the problem, the Commissioner of Police CP John B. Abang fdc has today Monday 15/7/2019 invited all the warring factions and other stakeholders in the communities and brainstormed extensively on the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The CP however warned all parties to eschew violence and follow the legal process in resolving their matter. He urged both parties to maintain the Status quo pending the determination of the matter by the Court.

In the interim the CP further maintained that the command will fish out all the perpetrators of the recent disturbance and bring them to justice in order to serve as deterrence to other mischief makers in the State.
