2019 LIST OF SUCCESSFUL NPF CANDIDATES

By announcement of the above listed names,  IGP ignored the court order directing it and the Police Service Commission (PSC) to maintain a status quo in the recruitment of 10, 000 officers in the country, which is bringing agitated power play among the duo.

In a verdict  led  by Justice Inyang Ekwo, who gave a court order at the hearing of the case brought by the PSC against the IG on Wednesday.

The PSC had brought the matter before the court, asking it to stop IGP Adamu from continuing the recruitment exercise for usurping the power of the commission.

In the same vein over the week, the former police service commission chairman Chief Simon Okeke, while speaking to newsmen at his country home, said the warring parties should look at what the constitution says. Which is spelled out that, the police service commission has the ultimate right to recruit police officers and members of the elite force empowered  by law. As there was no mention of the IGP in the constitution. He said as the PSC boss, he made sure  he exercised function of the law.  Which is in black and white with reference to the constitution of, Federal Republic of Nigeria.

In citing an example, the elder statesman said, in his time he won the case between the psc Vs IGP on the powers, to appoint commissioners of police which the IGP wanted to urspur during his time, which was stopped by the law. He wondered why the warring factions are blabbing over nothing. He advocated that the law should take its course.

The judge then adjourned the matter till November 4 for mention.

All the successful candidates are expected to report at the Police Colleges/Training Schools indicated against their states.

Candidates can check their name via this link: https://www.npf.gov.ng/information/index.php
