Arrest Senator Rochas Okorocha now or release Joshua Dariye and ex-governor Jolly Nyame -Northern group demands

Some concerned northerners on Friday in Kaduna asked the regime of the President, Muhammadu Buhari, to arrest a former governor of Imo State, Senator Rochas Okorocha, or release ex-governors Joshua Dariye and Jolly Nyame in Correctional Centres over corruption charges. The group under the aegis of Concerned Northern Forum, a coalition of other organizations, also asked the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to commence the prosecution of the former governor over alleged corruption. One of the leaders of the forum, and National President, Northern Nigeria Youth Forum, Alhaji Abdulsalam Kazeem, at a press conference held at the Arewa House, Kaduna, noted that they are bothered on what’s happening in Imo State because northerners are also residing in the state. IMO OMPAN CONGRATULATES GOVERNOR HOPE UZODINMA OVER VICTORY AT THE SUPREME COURT

Imo State Chapter of Online Media Practitioners Association of Nigeria, OMPAN congratulates the new Governor of Imo state, Senator Hope Uzodinma (Onwa) on his Supreme Court victory and swearing in as the duly elected Governor of Imo state on 15th January, 2020.

They urged His Excellency to extend an olive branch to all governorship candidates he contested alongside with and those he had cases with at the tribunal up to the Supreme Court and carry everyone along in the scheme of things, noting that Imo belongs to all of us. We need to move Imo forward and all hands ought to be on deck so as to make Imo a prosperous state,the release narrated.


Imo OMPAN prayed his Excellency all the best as he steers the affairs of the state and in the same spirit, we ask your Excellency to continue from the legacies and good works of past administrations of the state which acts as a foundation to the betterment of Imolites because government is a continuum.

The release said that "We have confidence that your Excellency will surely deliver to Imolites your well articulated campaign promises owing to Your Excellency's track records in both public and private life and hereby offer a total and sincere support to your Excellency's administration"

In conclusion, the Imo State Chapter of OMPAN calls on Imolites to support the government, offer their quota,  pray for the leaders for a better tomorrow.
