COVID19: SENATOR IFEANYI UBAH DISTRIBUTES PALLIATIVES IN LAGOS

In furtherance of his palliative support to families across the 21 Local Government areas in Anambra, Senator Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah yesterday, also commenced distribution of palliatives to Ndi Anambra in Lagos and other members of the General public to support families that have been staying at home for weeks following the lockdown in the state.

He stated that , sustaining a lockdown requires access to food and a host of other essentials. The lockdown in Lagos State has affected a lot of our people, particularly those who depend on daily commercial activities to survive, he said.

During the lockdown, Nigerian Notch gathered, that Senator Ubah reached out to the Governor of Lagos; His Excellency; Babajide Sanwo-Olu who magnanimously gave him 290 bags of rice,750 bags of Garri and 500 cartons of Spaghetti, to which he now added other materials in his personal capacity to augment. He stated that he personally supervised the distribution of these palliatives to the people in Lagos, to ensure there were no stories. Some of the Governor’s aides were also on ground to witness the distribution.

"Hunger remains a huge threat to the peace, stability and security of every society, this is why we must continue to assist more citizens, especially the poor and those whose livelihood depends on daily income"

"This will not only ensure that Nigerians adhere to the movement restrictions, it will also help prevent crime and social unrest while we fight to control the spread of the virus in our country."

He commended His Excellency; Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for the courage and pro-efficiency he has brought to bear in fighting this deadly virus. He said its  worthy of note to thank him for also giving other prominent Igbo personalities and Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo( Lagos) palliatives to distribute to our people in Lagos. He urged them to distribute these palliatives effectively so as to cushion the effects of this pandemic on the rest of our people.


Conclusively, he stated that, Nigeria as a nation must not bow to this unfortunate calamity. "This is why we must remain committed to standing united in giving full support to our government's effort in combating this global epidemic." May God Almighty protect us as a nation and spring us to rise back stronger from this adversity, called corona virus.

BREAKING: 2Baba Shot Dead In Rivers State

A notorious cult leader and the prime suspect in the brutal murder of the late Divisional Police Officer, SP Bako Angbashim, in the state, Gift Okpara, popularly referred to as 2Baba, has been reportedly killed in a police-led major security raid. The police and other security agencies were said to have conducted land and aerial raids at the identical hideout of the Iceland cult leader and his gang at Idu-Ekpeye in Ahoada East local government area of Rivers on Saturday, February 17. According to  The Nation , the Iceland cult leader was reportedly feared dead after the operation.   Recall that in September 2023, the late DPO was ambushed and captured by the cult group led by 2Baba in the Odiemudie community, Ahoada East LGA.   2Baba and his gang then took the DPO to the forest, where they killed him and dismembered his body. The cultists then filmed him. Another source, Obi, said he saw no less than 15 vehicles and an Armored Personnel Carrier (APC) during the operation.
