Oko Fed Polytechnic Rector Rallies Christians for Unity at Women’s August Meeting

The Rector of Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Dr. Chioma Irene Awuzie, has stirred fresh calls for Christian unity, declaring that “we are one body in Christ” during a charged address at the Oko Anglican Women’s Association (OAWA) August Meeting at St. John the Divine Church, Oko.

In a warm but spirited message, Dr. Awuzie applauded the women for being pillars of peace and stability in families, the church, and the community, urging them to keep the flame of harmony burning. She3 reaffirmed her administration’s pledge to uplift Oko through bold corporate social responsibility projects, citing the free medical outreach organised earlier this year and promising another landmark initiative in 2026.

Flanked by top officials, deans, and directors of the Polytechnic, the Rector’s presence drew praise from OAWA President, Barr. Lady Gloria Ezezika, who lauded her for making time to engage the group despite a demanding schedule. Ezezika highlighted the association’s achievements and pressing needs, calling for wider backing from the public.

In a glowing vote of thanks, Sir Isaiah Ezezika, past President General of the Joint Council of Knights, hailed Dr. Awuzie’s swift and visible impact on the institution, declaring that her leadership “deserves the full support of everyone.”

Tension In Uruagu Nnewi As Community Leaders Dare Soludo,Defy Court Order

The President of Uruagu-Nnewi Development Union, Chief Sunday Okoli aka Organizer, and the Obi of Uruagu-Nnewi community in Nnewi North local government area of Anambra State, His Majesty Afamefuna Charles Obi, have swept Soludo's directive to the gutters, by reason of their suspension and subsequent dessolution of the leadership of the community's youth forum, led by Ejike Ifejiofor, and subsequent appointment of caretaker executive to pilot the affairs of youths in the community.
