ADC opens Party Office in Nawgu - Dunukofia

The African Democratic Congress Party (ADC) on Tuesday, 10th Feb, 2026 opened its party office in Nawgu Community, Dunukofia LGA as a way of reaching to the people at the graceroot and given them the rightful platform to represent their constituents.

Heavily present were ADC party stalwarts, State Executives, party faithfuls, and a large crowd of community indegenes gathered at the Ezinwaegwu - Simon plaza Nawgu to welcome and show solidarity to one of their illustrious son, former President General of Nawgu community, Hon Nnamdi Okeke who brought the party to the community.

Mr Ikechukwu Akata (ozomesiliofumbosi-ukpo) while expressing happiness said the ADC party office ward 1 and 2 have opened to all the sons and daughters to join the party and exercise their electoral powers. He disclosed that the presence of the party will usher in a new fresh of leadership in the country and down to the grassroot level. 

ADC party Chairman in Anambra state, described the existence of the party as on that will reshape the wrong actions done by the past administrations. We are here to open ADC office at Nwagu. This is the beginning, ADC have come to change the narrative of maladministration from the PDP, APC parties. We will definitely take control epically innthe coming national and state elections. 

He however called on the indegenes to show commitment, interest to the party and support the party by sensitizing others neighbouring communites to join the party.

Earlier, the Former Governorship candidate of the ADC party in the just concluded Anambra governorship election Mr Emma Chuma Nwosu (Ph.d), thanked Hon Okeke for taking it upon himself to bring ADC to Nawgu Community. He called on the community to support his political aspirations as he has been found credible in the area of governance. 
Mr Nwosu while highlighting the existence of ADC party as coalition of PDP, APC and original ADC members, frowned at the lost years of maladministration by the PDP and APC government. He therefore, called on all the people to gather eith good conscience, commitment and sensitise massively for others to join ADC party in Dunukofia. 

In his remark, the former President General of Nawgu community and the party leader, Hon Nnamdi Okeke affirmed that the African Democractic Congress Party is a new party with difference mandate is to fight corruption and bad governance, promoting economic prosperity, empowering youth and women, and ensuring security of life and property. 

According to Hon Okeke, "before I joined ADC party, I read the manifesto and understood that it is a party with difference, we tred.other parties and they have failed. We have decided to join the moving train which is ADC party where we can get what belongs to us. Anocha and Njikoka have been there for years, it is timely for Dunukofia to represent." Nwagu will represent the people of Dunukofia, he assured.

Meanwhile, some special dignitaries present were, Chairman ADC Dunukaofia, Mr Ikechukwu Akata (ozomesiliofumbosi-ukpo), Secretary General ADC party Dunukaofia, Azubuike Mefor, Dunukofia APD woman leader Iyom Nweke Ebele (Odera) ADC Ward 1 Chairman- Mr Amaechi Fabian Oragbunam , ADC ward 2 - Fabian Ogwuejiofor Okoye, as well as all ward 1 & 2 executives of ADC in Nawgu, Among others.
