UZODIMMA COMMENDS METHODIST CHURCH,REASSURES PEACEFUL COEXISTENCE IN IMO.

Senator Hope Uzodimma commended the Prelate of the Methodist Church, Dr. SCK Uche and his team on a curtesy call at the Imo State Government House, Owerri, for their moral support and partnership with the Government.

Governor Uzodimma in his address welcomed the Methodist Church Prelate, who is the first Igbo Prelate of the Methodist Church of Christ Nigeria and an Okigwe born, commended him for his moral support to the Government and the development of the state.

The Governor assured them of the continuation of the enforcement of peace in the State for the safety of all well meaning indigene or visitor in the state.

Speaking earlier, the Prelate of the Methodist Church of Christ Nigeria, commended Governor Hope Uzodimma for his proactive style of Governance and his speedy response to the restoration of peace and calmness in the state.

While calling for peace in the State, Dr. S.C.K Uche stated that 99% Imolites are Christians and should shun killings, destruction and violence as these are what the devil the main opposition is known for.

He further called for all and sundry to Support of the Government in power which is the Shared Prosperity Government led by Senator Hope Uzodimma, for the unity and development of the State.

BREAKING: 2Baba Shot Dead In Rivers State

A notorious cult leader and the prime suspect in the brutal murder of the late Divisional Police Officer, SP Bako Angbashim, in the state, Gift Okpara, popularly referred to as 2Baba, has been reportedly killed in a police-led major security raid. The police and other security agencies were said to have conducted land and aerial raids at the identical hideout of the Iceland cult leader and his gang at Idu-Ekpeye in Ahoada East local government area of Rivers on Saturday, February 17. According to The Nation , the Iceland cult leader was reportedly feared dead after the operation. Recall that in September 2023, the late DPO was ambushed and captured by the cult group led by 2Baba in the Odiemudie community, Ahoada East LGA. 2Baba and his gang then took the DPO to the forest, where they killed him and dismembered his body. The cultists then filmed him. Another source, Obi, said he saw no less than 15 vehicles and an Armored Personnel Carrier (APC) during the operation.
