The remains of former President Muhammadu Buhari arrived in Nigeria today, July 15, 2025, at the Umaru Musa Yar'Adua International Airport in Katsina State, amidst heavy security and emotional scenes. Buhari passed away on Sunday in a UK clinic at the age of 82.
A nine-man committee, inaugurated by President Bola Tinubu to oversee funeral arrangements, received Buhari's body. The committee comprises senior government officials, religious leaders, and representatives of the Armed Forces. Nigeria's First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, clad in black, was also present to pay her respects.
