Edo Gov’s threat on Obi: Ohanaeze demands action from presidency, US, UK visa ban

The youth wing of apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has described as shocking and unacceptable the ban issued against Mr Peter Obi from entering Edo State. Governor Monday Okpebholo had on Friday warned Obi not to step into the state without his approval, vowing that should he do otherwise, he should be ready to take whatever he sees in the state.  The threat has continued to generate reactions across the country. The youth wing of apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has lauded the performance of the current leadership of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC.  National President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide, Mazi Okwu Nnabuike spoke in a statement on Wednesday, noting that the current board had rekindled the spirit behind the formation of the NNDC. FRSC Anambra Recovers Stolen Vehicle, Showcases Power of NVIS Database

Awka, Anambra State – July 16, 2025 In a significant demonstration of technology-driven security enforcement, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Anambra State Command, has recovered a suspected stolen vehicle through its National Vehicle Identification Scheme (NVIS) Desk Office in Nteje. The breakthrough came when an agent of the Anambra State Board of Internal Revenue (BIR) submitted a vehicle’s details for routine verification. A check through the NVIS database revealed that the vehicle had been flagged as missing for several years. Following this discovery, the FRSC promptly contacted the registered owner, who confirmed that the vehicle had been missing for over three years. She presented original ownership documents, leading the FRSC to notify the Nigeria Police for immediate investigation and action.
