IMO A.G ASSURES PAYMENT OF WORKERS SALARIES.
Speaking to newsmen in Owerri the IMO state capital the Accountant General Sir Val Obieze said, "The IMO state government led by Sen. Hope Uzodinma is committed to better the lives of everyone in IMO state. Especially the worker's, civil servants and pensioners. No doubt, they should except their salaries payment this week".
The new Accountant General for IMO State Sir Val Obieze maintained that the delay in the payment of some IMO workers and pensioners was as a result of some discovered irregularities created by the consultant managing the payment of pensioners and salaries under RT Hon. Emeka Ihedioha led administration. Again, according to Sir Val Obieze he said," The consultant contracted by RT. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha administration to managed the affairs of IMO pensioners, indeed caused more harm than good to the government of IMO state. Recently, the discovery we found on the issues of worker's and pensioners salaries are what led to the delay of payment of March salaries. The present government is committed to pay all outstanding salaries and above all to pay IMO workers and pensioners salaries as at when due, even before the end of every months ".
However, the IMO A. G Sir Obieze assured that this week all IMO workers and pensioners salaries must be paid. Adding that, the errors created by the past administration have been corrected hence all is now set for the payment of outstanding salaries.
" IMO Civil servants and pensioners must thank God that they have Sen. Hope Uzodinma as governor and he is on board now to make a positive change. Governor Hope Uzodinma is the governor of every body in the state including the civil servants, workers , pensioners and parties members, irrespective of any political party affiliations. He has a good will to bring prosperity and development in IMO state. I therefore urged the civil servants, pensioners and the good people of IMO state to support Sen Hope Uzodinma led administration which has a mandate of prosperity for all. With view to achieve Restoration, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction " - Sir Obieze said.
