Federal Polytechnic Oko Mourns Passing of Bursar

The Federal Polytechnic Oko, Anambra State, has been thrown into mourning following the death of its Bursar, Mr. Stephen Udu, fondly known as Udummili. He passed away while in active service.

In a condolence message signed by the Rector, Dr. Chioma Irene Awuzie, the institution described Mr. Udu as a man of integrity, professionalism, and unwavering dedication to duty.

According to Dr. Awuzie, the late Bursar played a pivotal role in the financial management and growth of the Polytechnic, leaving behind a legacy of excellence and service. She noted that his contributions went beyond official duties, as his kindness and humane disposition endeared him to colleagues, students, and the wider community.

“On behalf of the Governing Council, Management, Staff, and Students of Federal Polytechnic Oko, we extend our deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of Mr. Udu. We share in their grief and pray that God grants them the strength to bear this great loss,” the Rector stated.

Details of the funeral arrangements, the institution added, will be announced in due course.

The Polytechnic community has since opened a condolence register in honour of the late Bursar, whose passing has left a significant void in the administration of the institution.
