Atiku Declares ADC as Nigeria’s Most Credible Path to Rescue in 2027

Former Vice President and 2023 presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has declared that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has emerged as the most credible alternative to rescue Nigerians from the widespread hardship under the current All Progressives Congress (APC) administration.

Atiku made the assertion in Jalingo during the official inauguration of the ADC State Secretariat, where he addressed party leaders, stakeholders, and supporters. He stressed that with the deepening internal crises within the PDP and the growing disillusionment among Nigerians, the ADC stands strategically positioned to secure victory in the 2027 general elections.

He urged citizens across the country, particularly the people of Taraba State, to register and obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), noting that genuine efforts to change the government in 2027 would be meaningless without the tools to exercise political choice.

“At this critical moment, Nigerians must align with a party that has the capacity, the structure, and the vision to deliver the country from its current challenges. The ADC represents that hope,” he said.

Atiku criticised the APC-led federal government for what he described as its failure to improve the living conditions of Nigerians, saying the administration has not demonstrated sufficient commitment to economic stability or national welfare.

He expressed confidence in the leadership of the ADC, stating that the party is equipped with competent individuals capable of delivering better governance if entrusted with power at both the national and sub-national levels in 2027.

Also speaking at the event, the Taraba State Chairman of the ADC, Hassan Adamu, said the party has continued to gain traction among residents and is fast becoming the preferred choice for voters seeking a genuine alternative.

The event also witnessed the inauguration of the ADC State Transition Committee, chaired by Senator Abubakar Tutare, with Barrister Haruna Kwetishe appointed as secretary.
