Anambra Police Quell Ukwulu Shooting Incident

The Anambra State Police Command has successfully contained a shooting incident in Ukwulu, preventing further escalation. The incident occurred on April 12, 2025, and was reportedly sparked by a disagreement between siblings.


The command's PPRO SP Ikenga Tochukwu said operatives from the Special Anti-Cultism Squad Enugu-Ukwu quickly responded to the scene, rescuing a victim with a gunshot injury and recovering
,One AK47 rifle, One pistol, Six rounds of live ammunition and has also made arrests of two suspects apprehended at the scene

He said that there is an underway
preliminary investigations which revealed that the victim and the armed suspect, who had sought assistance from another individual, are brothers with a history of serious misunderstandings. The case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for a comprehensive investigation.


Also, the victim is receiving medical treatment and is reportedly responding well. The suspects are undergoing police interrogation. Further details will be communicated as the investigation progresses

Tension In Uruagu Nnewi As Community Leaders Dare Soludo,Defy Court Order
