Legacy of Excellence: Federal Polytechnic Oko Celebrates Retirees

The Federal Polytechnic Oko today 17th April 2025 paid tribute to two of its esteemed academics and administrators, Dr. Ubaka Chukwugekwu Eugene and Dr. Uchenna Bertram Onyegbu, at a sendforth ceremony held at the school's auditorium at Oko,in Orumba LGA of Anambra state.

The event was attended by members of the institution's governing council, management, staff, and students. Who gave credence to the fact that the two administrators when they were at the helm of affairs at the Institution were men of substance.

The Rector of the Institution Dr. Chioma Irene Awuzie in her sendforth address commended the retirees for their tireless efforts, leadership, and contributions to the institution's growth and stability. Their commitment to academic excellence, institutional development, and ethical leadership has left a lasting impact on the polytechnic.

The ceremony celebrated the retirees' remarkable legacies and service to the institution. Dr. Awuzie wished them joy, pride, and peace in their reflections, expressing gratitude for their exceptional service.

The high point of the event was the handling over of an LG Refrigerator and Generator to both Dr. Ubaka Chukwugekwu Eugene and Dr. Uchenna Bertram Onyegbu respectfully.

Tinubu Appoints Chioma Awuzie Substantive Rector, Fed Poly Oko

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of Dr. Chioma Irene Awuzie as the substantive Rector of Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Anambra State. Dr. Awuzie's appointment, which takes effect immediately for a five-year term, follows the recommendation of the Polytechnic's Governing Council, chaired by Sen. Dr. Barnabas Gemade, after a transparent and competitive selection process where she emerged as the leading candidate.
