FRSC Gears Up For Safe Sallah Celebrations in Anambra


As the Eid-El-Kabir celebration approaches, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Anambra State Sector Command is gearing up to ensure a safe and smooth journey for all road users. The Command has put in place proactive measures to mitigate the risks of congestion and traffic crashes, expected to arise from increased traffic volume during the festive period.


The FRSC Anambra State Sector Command sata it has activated its emergency toll-free line (122) to receive reports of obstructions and crashes. The Sector Commander, Corps Commander Joyce Nnennaya Alexander, however appeal to the public to partner with the Command in promoting road safety by reporting any emergencies or road hazards.


She said that to ensure a safe and enjoyable festive season, the Command has organized special patrol operations that will run from June 5, 2025, to June 11, 2025. A total of 933 officers, personnel, and special marshals will be deployed to manage traffic situations and ensure free flow of vehicles.


She highlighted also that the Command has conducted extensive public awareness campaigns at parks, churches, markets, and media outlets to educate road users about the risks of speeding, dangerous driving, and other road safety violations.

The Sector Commander further aassured he public that the FRSC is fully prepared for the upcoming celebrations and urged all road users to adhere to traffic rules and regulations to ensure their safety and avoid any potential issues during the festive season. 

She therfore called on the public to cooperate with the Command in promoting road safety, as she stressed that the public is encouraged to report any emergencies or road hazards to the FRSC emergency toll-free line (122) to enable prompt response and prevention of crashes.
